In this guide, you will learn how to get xcRMRK tokens for use on Moonbeam. xcRMRK is the bridged version of the RMRK token, which was originally minted on Kusama blockchain’s Asset Chain.
As of June 2023, there are two main ways to get xcRMRK tokens on Moonbeam.
Currently, this is the most straightforward and easy-to-use option. Squid Router allows any token to be swapped between blockchains. It currently exists as a widget on Singular. Follow the steps below to use it:
On , click the connect button at the top right of the screen. If you have already connected a wallet, then this button will have some characters of your public key and a Moonbeam logo.
On the drop-down menu, select ‘Swap tokens’. This will open the Swap dialog box.
Click the ‘connect wallet’ button and connect your wallet again. You may wonder why you have to connect your wallet a second time. The first time, you connected your wallet to Singular. Now, you are connecting to Squid Router.
Choose the blockchain you want to take tokens from. Also choose the token.
Choose the blockchain you want to send tokens to and the specific token. In this case, that will be Moonbeam and xcRMRK. This option should already be preloaded for you.
Click submit and sign the transactions.
Congratulations! You now have xcRMRK on Moonbeam. Explore for some rare gems.
The second way to get xcRMRK on Moonbeam is by buying it on StellaSwap. StellaSwap is a decentralised exchange on Moonbeam that allows you to buy tokens using other tokens (also called token swapping).
Before you can swap tokens on StellaSwap, you need to have tokens on Moonbeam. If you do not have tokens on Moonbeam, this is a useful guide by the StellaSwap team on. If your tokens live on another chain, then first transfer them to Ethereum. Once you have your tokens on Moonbeam, the rest is easy.
To buy xcRMRK, use the following steps:
Click the connect wallet button at the top right of the screen.
Connect your wallet.
Choose the token you want to swap from and the one you want to swap to (in this case, xcRMRK).
Sign the transaction.
